Associate professor of plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery at VKV American Hospital in İstanbul. He trained at Hacettepe University and spent nearly two decades in Houston, first as a research fellow and lecturer at Baylor College of Medicine and later in faculty and adjunct roles at Baylor, Rice and the University of Houston.
Biography
Doç. Dr. Eser Yüksel is an associate professor of plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery at VKV American Hospital in İstanbul, a position he has held since 2020. He studied medicine at Hacettepe University from 1978 to 1984 and completed his plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at the same university between 1986 and 1992.
From 1996 to 1998 he was a research fellow and lecturer in the Division of Plastic Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, and he went on to hold faculty and adjunct positions at Baylor, Rice University and the University of Houston until 2014. He has authored 55 articles in international journals and given more than 90 presentations at international meetings. His interests combine clinical work — midface procedures, lip contouring, eye contours and breast reduction techniques — with research in tissue engineering, stem cells and gene therapy.
