Professor of plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery at VKV American Hospital in İstanbul, also working in breast health. He trained at Hacettepe and Gazi Universities, with additional residencies in oral and maxillofacial surgery and in hand and microsurgery, plus research fellowships at the Cleveland Clinic and Sahlgrenska University.
Biography
Prof. Dr. Selahattin Özmen is a professor of plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery at VKV American Hospital in İstanbul, where he also contributes to the breast health programme. He graduated from Hacettepe University School of Medicine in 1995 as one of the top students of his year, and completed his plastic surgery residency at Gazi University between 1995 and 2002.
He went on to research fellowships at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in the United States (2002–2003) and Sahlgrenska University in Sweden (2004), and later completed further residencies in oral and maxillofacial surgery and in hand and microsurgery. His clinical interests span nasal aesthetic and functional surgery, breast and truncal aesthetics, minimally invasive treatments, breast cancer reconstruction, facial trauma repair and microsurgical reconstruction.
