Biography
Prof. Dr. Semih Bağhaki is a professor of plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery at Koç University Hospital in İstanbul. He completed his English-language medical education at Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine between 1997 and 2003, and his plastic surgery residency at the same faculty from 2004 to 2010.
He worked as an operating surgeon at Haseki Training and Research Hospital and then at Cerrahpaşa, where he became associate professor in 2018. Abroad he trained in head and neck surgery and advanced microsurgery at Providence Hospital in the United States, and in fat injection and stem cell applications at a New York practice. His expertise spans facial, head and neck aesthetic and reconstructive surgery, breast aesthetic and reconstructive surgery, microsurgical tissue transplants, melanoma surgery, stem cell applications, robotic plastic surgery, paediatric and regenerative plastic surgery.
